The Hidden in Plain Sight trailer is a mobile, interactive educational exhibit designed to replicate a typical teenager’s bedroom (well, a clean one). It’s filled with realistic examples of how young people may hide vaping, drug, and alcohol paraphernalia in everyday household items, showcasing the deceptive packaging and dual-use products commonly used by teens. The trailer aims to educate adults—especially parents, caregivers, educators, youth-serving professionals, and law enforcement—on the warning signs of substance use and to promote early intervention. By revealing how easily these items can be concealed "in plain sight," the exhibit encourages awareness, conversation, and action around youth substance use.
Key features include a realistic room setup with hidden stash spots, a rotating display of trending paraphernalia and drug culture items, and optional guided walkthroughs. It can also be paired with a presentation to enhance learning. The trailer is available for school trainings, parent nights, staff development days, community events, and more, and is available to travel throughout Hamilton County and neighboring areas.
